The Air Force Thunderbirds come to the Monterey Peninsula to perform at the California International
Airshow Salinas in the fall alternating often with the Navy Blue Angels.

Historic Auto Week in mid August on the Monterey Peninsula also brings several automobile auctions
to the area, in conjuction with the many historic and classic motorsport
related events. One auction is in the Downtown Conference Center.
Another aspect of the Historic Auto Weekend is the influx of private and general
aviation traffic to the MRY and the Fixed Base Operators services. Shown below
is part of the overflow parking for aircraft.
