California Condors frequent the Big Sur Coast and range inland to the Pinnacles National Monument east of the Salinas Valley in the Gabilan Range. They often feed on dead Sea Lions or a whale along the seashore as the opportunity arises. They range farther and inland, but are often seen along the Coast from just south of Nepenthe in Big Sur to south of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park.
